Large Sapele Bowl

A large bowl turned from Sapele hardwood.

Sapele (sah-peel-ee) is a beautiful russet brown grained wood from Africa. It is also known as Sapele Mahogany. Sapele is a member of the same family as Mahogany and frequently is a substitute.

This bowl measures approximately 8.5” in diameter and 3” in height. Ideal for fruit, snacks or sweets etc.

The bowl is finished with Danish oil giving a smooth, satin feel that highlights the natural colour, grain and chatoyance of the wood. This finish is food safe and should only be hand washed but not with hot water and not submerged in water.
